The Apprentice

This is really good primetime TV. The kind of stuff you watch from between your fingers: a crowd of young people apparently selected because they have both low self-esteem and over-confidence issues (I think it’s called a ‘personality disorder’). Anyway, they make for utterly gripping viewing and I will certainly be glued to the screen shouting inappropriate advice until I’m hoarse for the next twelve weeks.

Ah, you beat me to it. Wasn’t it great? Class war in the boardroom - that was amazing. And that woman with the clothes. I can’t wait to see what she’s all about.

I get the idea that participants are selected according to more-and-more extreme criteria with each series. So back in series one the people seemed kind of normal and now they’re all chosen from somewhere on a short spectrum going from roughly Marty Feldman mad to Charles Manson crazy. Of course I could be wrong…

I was expecting to hate this (confession, I’ve never watched The Apprentice before) but actually my wife and I both really enjoyed it.

I’ve never seen such a bunch of alpha-males and females in one place. Frightening. Can’t wait for the next episode.

The guy who got sacked is a my third cousin removed or something. (my mums cousin’s son).

We’ve never met but we both seem to be into “arts and culture” ;)
