What was fascinating was the build-up he got from practically everyone in the days beforehand: DJs, artists, journos - everyone really wanted it to be OK. As if everyone was terrified that the field would empty or people would boo or something and what that would say about Brits and the festival crowd and white people and indie kids and all the rest. It was like a test. The relief that it all went well was palpable... Just watched this again over breakfast with my bitch and my… er… kids.
