I’ve loved these programmes, and this one is a great example of how wonderful it is to have undiluted access to an interviewee. GF Newman is a strange fish. A believer of reincarnation with no argument to support it, famous for imposing a vegan regime on film sets, and personally crediting himself as the inspiration for Dick Wolf‘s Law & Order series, he makes compelling viewing if for no other reason than he is really quite scary to watch. Like a coiled spring, or Hannibal Lector eyeing up his next victim, I’m surprised Lawson managed to stay so calm. Only a day or so left… Hurry, hurry, hurry.

What do you mean scary? Listening to the above interview Mr Newman came across as being one of the most sane people I have ever heard speaking. It is gross to make a grave yard of our bodies. Eating sentient beings is barbaric. Experimenting on sentient beings for human benefit is wicked. I wish that he had created a political party as I, and many others, would have been relieved to hear such humane views espoused and happy to show support. The hannibal Lectors within society are the ignorant cruel majority and not Mr Newman. How weird your comments above are.

He’s also “a believer” in dedicating his gangand books to the Krays and Ruchardson’s while also claiming that they are total fiction and yet the cover blurbs also scream that the books are about the Krays and the Richardsons – witness even his latest 700pp CRIME AND PUNISHMENT re-hash. He’s been flogging these scenarios now for 40 years and actually the world has moved on witness TONY THOMPSON’s latest gangland tome. G F Newman yeah principled nod nod wink wink know what I mean.
